Guiting-guiting is indeed not the highest mountain in the Philippines but the exciting challenge and unique experience, as testified by those who climbed it, made this mountain as one of the highly sought after outdoor trails that anyone can be proud of when summited. Sibuyan island, where this mountain is situated, is regarded as the “Galapagos of Asia,". Blessed with a thick rainforest, numerous waterfalls, crystal clear rivers, remarkable flora and fauna, interesting terrain and beautiful beaches, a visit to this island is worth the long hours of travel by sea.

If you've been too engaged in the local hiking community, you must have heard of monickers like "Knife-edge", "kiss the wall" and "peak of deception". These are notable landmarks to remember when climbing this lofty and jagged mountain.
