The Resort:
This perfect little slice of paradise offers guests fourteen native-styled, ecologically “low-impact” accommodations, restaurant and bar facilities, and an internationally-renowned water sports and scuba diving centre.
Sangat island is totally off the public electricity grid and fully independent when it comes to electricity and water supply. In their efforts to be green and clean we use Solar power as a form of renewable energy. Sangat Island Resort is the only resort in the Philippines that is 100% powered by Solar energy and only uses diesel powered generators during cloudy days. The 30 KW solar power system is capable of powering the whole resort including all the air compressors, desalination plant (fresh water source), ice makers and refrigeration.
Edged by a 300-meter span of white sand beachfront, postcard-perfect tropical waters, and coral reef gardens brimming with sea life, Sangat Island Dive Resort has become, in just a few short years, one of the premier resort destinations for eco-conscious paradise-seekers and scuba diving enthusiasts the world over.
There is an option to upgrade to a Beach Chalet if you would prefer, roughly an extra £15 per person per night.
The Diving:
Sangat Island Resort offers travelers a truly idyllic getaway, with a 300 metre stretch of secluded pure white sandy beachfront surrounded by towering limestone cliffs covered in coconut palm trees, tropical waters teeming with rainbows of aquatic life and 11 historically important World War II Japanese ship wrecks all just minutes away from your doorstep. The resort is surrounded by countless natural undersea wonders awaiting your exploration including the protected house reef with its prolific colourful fish life, abundant variety of corals, lobsters, crabs, seahorses and larger pelagics species such as turtles, tuna, barracuda and Spanish mackerel.
