This is just too wonderful a place not to kayak there. This expedition is on its planning phase and we only have 8 places of which 4 have already gone. Therefore, if you would like to join us, please let us know. Either click the 'Reserve your place' button or email us on [email protected]
The trip will take place at the beginning of March 2019. At this time of the year the NW winds are calmer and we expect to have good paddling conditions. We will be heading south from Busuanga island and exploring the area as well as visiting the neighbouring islands. There are hundreds of islands and islets with amazing turquoise seas, incredible snorkelling and huge beautiful landscapes.
The expedition will be 10 days long and we will be in accommodation on the first and last night. All other nights we will be camping. We will have Current Design Sirocco single kayaks and Aquabound paddles, but you can take your own paddle if you prefer something you are used to.
To join the expedition you need to have some experience kayaking (close to 3 stars) and enjoy camping. If you feel you do not have enough experience at present, there is plenty of time to train and we are happy to tailor a training package for you with awesome coaches.
This type of expedition suits people who are sociable, relaxed, independent, enjoy nature and are happy to change plans at short notice to accommodate for weather changes or group needs.
We will soon post the route and give more updates.
PADDLE FOR CHANGE
Explora is a Community Interest Company and such we are developing a project which will aid the education of young people and sea conservation. We are very lucky that we've linked up with an excellent organisation in Philippines. They have given work to 6 street kids and are encouraging them to go to school. During our trip, we will be working with this organisation to help some of their members achieve their BCU qualifications and will donate equipment for the children for school which will come from company tax money. We are working through the details so there will be more news and updates later.
