This is backpacking style, not a packaged tour event. We invite you to join our DIY hike in Ilocos Sur’s Historical Peak, The Tirad Pass, wherein Gregorio Del Pilar once battled and defended the said place from being held captive by Americans. Towering at 1388+, with the difficulty of 5/9 (Pinoy Mountaineer), the historical place is now a National Park wherein one can relive the epic moments of the Spanish Era in the trails of Tirad Pass.
Given the time limit and the status of the transportation in Candon to GDP, our proposed itinerary for this do-it-yourself hike would be (although this will serve as a guide only and may vary depending on the situation):
Day 1 - Saturday - GDP Shrine
12:30 AM - Assembly
1:30 AM - Departure from Cubao to Candon, Ilocos Sur
9:00 AM - Brunch
11:00 AM - Departure from Candon to GDP Town via Jeepney
1:00 PM - ETA GDP Town, Registration, Group Huddle
2:00 PM - Start Trek via Tirad Pass
5:30 PM - ETA GDP Shrine, Tent Pitching, Sunset Viewing
6:30 PM - Dinner/Socials
Day 2 - Sunday - Tirad Peak
3:00 AM - Breakfast, Preparations
4:00 AM - Start trek via Lonely Trail
8:00 AM - ETA Tirad Peak
9:00 AM - Descent
12:00 PM - ETA back at campsite
1:00 PM - Descent
3:00 PM - ETA GDP, Departure from GDP back to Candon
6:00 PM - ETA Candon, Dinner
7:00 PM - ETD to Cubao
