The pristine waters and scenic views of the country’s prime tourist spot El Nido will once again hit the world’s TV screens.
South Africa’s hit reality TV show Survivor South Africa: Season 6 is slated to be shot in El Nido, Palawan in the Philippines this late January to February this year.
A Memorandum Order sent by town mayor Nieves C. Rosento to tourism chief Arvin Acosta confirmed this, advising the latter to “coordinate with the booking office associations for the temporary closure/minimal crowd requirements for the shoot”.
It’s not the first time where El Nido has been chosen as the TV show franchise’s location. Last year, Survivor Israel: Season 8 was also filmed in this same remote group of islands in Palawan.
Survivor South Africa: Season 6 is the sixth season of the South African reality game show Survivor South Africa. Hosted by Nico Panagio, the upcoming season was announced back in November last year which will be aired sometime this year on M-Net.
